Getting at home on the couch!

Just a short post sharing some more pictures of this sleepy angel getting comfy on the couch! Still is unsure about hopping up when the family is on the couch (even though were more then happy to cuddle with him) He loves the love seat and will relax for hours! He also strangly enough loves to watch tv! He’ll lay on the love seat and watch tv with me for hours! Such a sweet boy couldn’t ask for a better dog! Between Augie and big sister Winter we have the best dogs ever!

Heat Wave Relief

Heat wave in New Hampshire! Babies have been bummed out that they cant play out side as long as they like to! Augie cant because he gets tired even quicker from the heat (and on account of his missing leg) and Winter can’t play outside because of all the thick Great Pyrenees fur! Luckily Momma has a secret to make those hot days a little easier! The Babies are going absolutely nuts over these salt less frozen chicken broth cubes! At first they thought they were their normal ice cubes but to a happy surprise they discovered they were extra yummy! Cant get enough! had to go the grocery store and get more salt less chicken broth because they have been eating them up! Happy babies make happy parents!

stuffed animal experiment

So I cleaned my room a few weeks ago and found a stuffed animal my grandma gave me for Easter (yes I love her but she still treats me like I’m 5!!) I decided rather then throwing it away id give it to the babies, Augie and Winter. Winter wanted nothing to do with it, because you know, she’s too sophisticated for that kind of stuff… lol so I gave it to Augie and he had a blast throwing it all over the living room. I went back to cleaning my room while sill trying to keep an eye on him because he’s been known to rip the hard plastic eyes out of stuffed animals and eat them… smart right? So after a couple minutes I come out into the living room to make sure he’s not chewing on the eyes. When I look I see all these little dots on the carpet. When I look closer I realze he has not only ripped the stuffed bunny open, but hes also threw all the little beads inside all over the living room! I quickly take the bunny away from him (and yes it broke my heart to do so) but he was trying to eat the beads! So I let him outside and got the vacuum and proceded to clean up every last bear. all the while big sister Winter watches from the couch with a “I told you not to give him that” look on her face! And I thought it was bad when he ripped all the stuffing out of his toys!!!

Sleepy boy!

SLEEPY PUP

AUGGIE FINALLY MADE IT ON THE COUCH!! He’s really getting comfortable in his new home (as you can see!!!) we’ve been trying to get him on the couch and love seat since the first day we got him and he finally climbed up the other day and made himself right at home! So glad to see he’s adjusting and becoming more comfortable with us!! ❤️

Auggie saying goodbye

Auggie on kitty's grave
Auggie on kitty’s grave.     Sadly we had to put down my cat I’ve had for 14 years. Auggie seems to be bummed out because he is always laying on her grave. Auggie only knew her for a couple days and was absolutely terrified of her but I really do think he misses her. 🙁 on another note, Auggie has shown me his master escape artist side! Yesterday I was taking him to go meet a new dog who he will be spending time with, and I stopped at the dairy farm my boyfriend works on. He told me there was a newborn who wouldn’t eat so he needed me to help him bottle feed her. I left my car running with Auggie in the back seat and the Windows about 8 inches open. I wasn’t worried at all because he’s a 50 pound dog, no way he can fit through that!! So I start wrestling the calf and trying to feed her, getting kicked and head butted and getting milk spit all over me, when I look up and see Auggie hauling butt across the farm!! I jump the fence where the calf was and book it after him, screaming his name (which btw he doesn’t know yet) he doesn’t listen at all, and just keeps running! He finally hit a dead end and came running back into my arms! I was sure he must have opened the car door or something but he didn’t! That little bugger hoped out the window!!! I don’t know how he did it but he did! After I got him back in the car, we went to meet his new friend, who he absolutely loved! They played for hours!! He slept the whole way home! He was such a good boy! 🙂 happy to see he’s making new friends!!
